Angus & Julia Stone announce new album ‘Karaoke Bar’

Australian indie-folk duo Angus & Julia Stone are releasing their eighth studio album, titled ‘Karaoke Bar’, scheduled for release on September 4, 2026. The project marks a return for the Sydney-based siblings following a seven-year hiatus from full-length studio albums.

The new work appears to evolve from their traditional indie-folk roots, incorporating modern electronic nuances and elements similar to Angus Stone’s solo project, Dope Lemon. The title track, ‘Karaoke Bar’, features a blend of organic sounds, including soft strings and piano, alongside subtle beats and synthesizers.

While the duo has previously focused on solo paths and side projects, this release signifies a reunion of their signature vocal harmonies. The album follows a period of creative breaks and individual pursuits since their major international breakthrough in 2010.
