Anheuser-Busch to invest $13 million in New York brewery
Anheuser-Busch has announced a $13 million investment in its Baldwinsville, New York, brewery to expand production capacity and support workforce development. The funding will upgrade can and bottle lines for Michelob Ultra and add new capabilities to accelerate the production of Cutwater, a spirits-based ready-to-drink cocktail brand.
Governor Kathy Hochul noted that the investment will focus on technical skills training for the next generation of workers at the Onondaga County plant, which is New York’s largest brewery. The expansion is part of a larger $600 million multi-year investment plan by Anheuser-Busch aimed at strengthening U.S. manufacturing and veteran hiring.
The Baldwinsville facility has been operated by the company since 1983. Recent efforts at the site have included environmental initiatives such as solar array installations and a transition from natural gas to electric power.
