Aniedi Okure leads human rights inspiration week in Zwolle

The Dominican Church in Zwolle is hosting an inspiration week from October 18 to 23 focused on the themes of peace and justice. The event features Aniedi Okure, a Dominican priest and United Nations human rights advocate from Dominica, as the guest of honor.

Through his organization, ‘Dominicans for Justice and Peace’, Okure works on global human rights issues. During the week in Zwolle, he will engage with local residents and organizations to discuss various topics, including the situation in Africa, the church asylum in Kampen, and the impacts of the climate crisis.

The program includes discussions on development aid, Western responsibility, and how individuals can combat injustice and division. The week will conclude with a walk focused on climate justice.
