Anil Agarwal discusses Vedanta Group and India's resources

Vedanta Group Chairman Anil Agarwal discussed his entrepreneurial journey and business philosophy during an interview on the television program ‘Aap Ki Adalat’ with journalist Rajat Sharma.

Reflecting on his rise from a scrap dealer in Patna to a billionaire, Agarwal emphasized the importance of timing, presentation, and risk-taking. He expressed a vision for India's future, stating he dreams of a day when every young person in the country has a choice of jobs. He also called for a movement to better exploit India's abundant natural resources, including oil, gas, copper, and gold.

Regarding his business strategy, Agarwal explained his decision to withdraw from semiconductor plans, noting that his core strengths lie in sectors he already understands, such as oil, gas, aluminium, zinc, and copper. He also touched upon the global reputation of Indian professionals, suggesting that the presence of Indians in multinational companies is a sign of reliability.
