Anillo Vial Periférico project secures US$190 million for land acquisition

The Anillo Vial Periférico infrastructure project in Peru has secured US$190 million in financing to support the initial development phase, specifically for land acquisition in sections one and three. The financing was provided by BBVA Banco Perú, COFIDE, and MUFG Bank, Ltd. Clifford Chance acted as legal advisor for the lenders.

This financing utilizes a mechanism known as Certificados de Avance de Liberación de Predios (CALP), where the concessionaire advances payments to landowners and is subsequently reimbursed by the state. In a related development, ProInversión has distributed S/28 million in payments to owners of seven properties within the project's first and third sections.

The 34.8-kilometer ring road is a public-private partnership valued at approximately US$3.4 billion, involving a consortium of Cintra (Ferrovial), Acciona, and Sacyr. Once completed, the project aims to improve connectivity between Lima and Callao, potentially benefiting over 4.5 million people by significantly reducing travel times between various metropolitan districts.
