Pet adoption fairs take place in Aparecida de Goiânia, Campo Grande and Petrópolis, Brazil

On Saturday, June 13, a pet adoption fair at Buriti Shopping in Aparecida de Goiânia offered 45 rescued dogs and cats under the “Deu Match com Meu Pet” project, organized with the municipal government. The animals were vaccinated, neutered and screened for adoption.

On Sunday, June 14, Campo Grande’s Praça da Bolívia hosted a similar event with more than 50 dogs and cats. The fair, run by the Superintendência de Bem‑Estar Animal, provided adoption counseling, emphasized responsible ownership and offered free sterilization programs for adopters.

Also on June 13, the NGO Dog’s Heaven held a dog‑only adoption fair at Pátio Petrópolis Shopping, featuring rescued dogs such as Mary Jane. Prospective owners received guidance from the organization and could support the shelter through donations.

All three events aim to promote responsible pet ownership, reduce animal abandonment, and ensure veterinary care for rescued animals.
