Animal cruelty incidents reported in Colombia and Mexico

Two separate incidents of alleged animal cruelty have been reported in Colombia and Mexico.

In Ubaté, Colombia, a dog was located and received veterinary care after a video circulated showing it being attacked with hot water at a street food stall. The animal's skin shows redness and sensitivity in the affected area, and it remains under veterinary observation. The stall owner stated that a temporary employee was responsible for the act and claimed he had no prior knowledge of the incident. The employee is expected to face a legal process through the Animal Defense and Public Health Board.

In San Blas, Nayarit, Mexico, a confrontation was recorded between a woman and a couple regarding the treatment of a dog at a beach. The woman accused the individuals of using the animal as a toy and causing it distress. Animal rescue groups have shared the footage to help identify those involved and are calling for reports on suspected animal mistreatment.
