Animal cruelty incidents reported in Spain and Chile

Separate incidents of animal cruelty have been reported in Spain and Chile. In Sant Fost de Campsentelles, Spain, the animal rights association Adyla reported that a cat from a local colony was found with a wound caused by a pellet shot. The association noted that this is not an isolated incident in the municipality and plans to file a formal complaint with the Seprona unit of the Civil Guard, seeking greater institutional involvement to prevent such attacks.

In San Bernardo, Chile, authorities rescued a foal that had been subjected to physical abuse. Following videos circulating on social media showing a person hitting the animal and attempting to drag it with a rope attached to a vehicle, the PDI (Policía de Investigaciones), in coordination with local municipal authorities, identified the individual involved. The foal has been transferred to a foundation for specialized recovery care.
