Animal-related incidents reported in Bucaramanga and Neiva

Two separate incidents involving animals have been reported in Colombia. In Bucaramanga, a 49-year-old man reported being assaulted and bitten by a dog during a confrontation in Parque Bolívar. The dispute began when bystanders requested that a man walking two pit bulls use muzzles. According to witnesses, one of the dogs broke loose and targeted another animal, causing a woman to fall to the ground while attempting to intervene.

In Neiva, authorities are investigating a report of alleged animal mistreatment in the La Arboleda neighborhood. A veterinarian shared security footage appearing to show a man interacting inappropriately with a dog. While the footage has not yet confirmed specific misconduct, the local police have initiated a verification process to identify the individual and determine if formal charges are warranted.
