Animal rescue operations reported in Pilar and Rosario

Two separate animal rescue incidents were reported in Argentina. In Pilar, volunteers from the Santuario Jaulas Vacías intervened when they witnessed a man physically attacking a 50-day-old puppy near the Guido and Panamericana bridge. The man reportedly struck the puppy and threw it into a ditch. Local police arrived at the scene, apprehended the aggressor, and allowed the sanctuary to take custody of the animal, which has been named Thomy and is currently recovering.

In Rosario, Ecological Police agents successfully rescued a maned wolf (aguará guazú) after a pursuit in an industrial area in the western part of the city. The animal was first spotted by residents near Uriburu and Las Palmeras. After entering an industrial property, the wolf led authorities on a chase through the premises. Officers eventually used vehicles to corner the animal and safely bring it under control.
