Animal resilience stories highlight rescue and sanctuary care

The 60-kilogram dog spent three days waiting for his former owner before volunteers intervened. After receiving veterinary care and spending months in a temporary home, SOVIPA is seeking a permanent family for the affectionate and loyal dog.

In Canada, Winnie, a five-year-old dog born without front paws, lives at Charlotte’s Freedom Farm sanctuary in Ontario. Despite his congenital disability, Winnie enjoys a high quality of life, particularly through specialized outings in golf carts alongside his caretaker, Lauren. The sanctuary focuses on providing adaptations and individualized care for animals with physical limitations.
