Animal Summit România focuses on prevention at second edition

The second edition of Animal Summit România will take place on September 29 and 30 at the Cotroceni Palace. Organized by the Sache Association and the Bucharest Animal Protection and Supervision Authority, the event focuses on prevention as a primary solution for animal welfare issues.

Discussions will address critical challenges such as animal abandonment, uncontrolled breeding, lack of education regarding responsible ownership, and difficulties in enforcing legislation. The summit aims to move beyond reactive interventions toward long-term systemic solutions.

International organizations, including the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH), Worldwide Veterinary Service (WVS), and International Cat Care (ICC), will participate to share tested strategies and local infrastructure models that can be adapted to the Romanian context.
