Animate to open largest Kyushu branch in Fukuoka

Animate is set to open ‘Animate Lachic Fukuoka Tenjin’ on October 24, 2026. This new location will relocate the existing Animate Fukuoka Parco to the 8th floor of the Lachic Fukuoka Tenjin commercial facility, which is directly connected to Nishitetsu Fukuoka (Tenjin) Station.

The new store will be the largest Animate branch in the Kyushu region, offering an expanded selection of character goods, comics, CDs, and Blu-rays. The facility will feature several specialized areas making their Kyushu debut, including ‘Animate Latte’ for graphic lattes, ‘Animate Cafe’ for themed collaborations, and ‘Space A la mode’ for anime-themed apparel.

Other notable additions include ‘CyConveni,’ a convenience-store-themed shop for Cygames content, a permanent official store for ‘Touken Ranbu ONLINE,’ and a dedicated corner for Square Enix works. Additionally, an exhibition space called ‘Space Galleria FUKUOKA’ is scheduled to open in the area on November 20, 2026.
