Anime and manga conventions see record attendance in US and Taiwan

Major anime and manga conventions in the United States and Taiwan have reported record-breaking attendance figures. In Los Angeles, Anime Expo saw a significant surge in popularity, with attendance exceeding 400,000 people, marking a record high for the event.

In Taiwan, the 2026 Manhua Exhibition held at the Taipei World Trade Center drew approximately 635,000 visitors over five days. The event, which was held in conjunction with gaming and film exhibitions, featured over 1,200 booths from more than 120 companies, highlighting the growing scale of the regional ACG (Anime, Comic, and Games) industry.
