Anime and manga culture expands through brand activations and literary fairs

Canon has announced its participation in Animole 2026, scheduled for September 12 and 13, 2026, at the World Trade Center in Mexico City. Under the concept ‘MOMENTOS CANÓNICOS’ (Canonical Moments), the brand will present an immersive experience designed to help attendees capture significant personal memories, such as meeting favorite artists or showcasing detailed cosplay, through imaging technology.

In a separate cultural development, the Municipal Book Fair has expanded its scope to include a significant presence for the otaku community. The event now serves as a hub for fans of manga, anime, comics, and video games, featuring dedicated stands for new releases and opportunities for local manga artists to showcase their work. The fair also includes traditional cosplay competitions where participants portray characters from various media franchises.
