Anime industry updates: Rie Kugimiya returns for Rakuen Tsuihō and new series premiere set

Voice actress Rie Kugimiya will return to portray Angela Balzac in the upcoming anime film Rakuen Tsuihō -Expelled from Paradise- Kokoro no Resonance. The project, which was previously titled Rakuen Tsuihō: Liberated from Paradise, has adopted its final name, suggesting a thematic focus on human connection and empathy within its science fiction setting.

Additionally, the franchise is expanding into the gaming sector with a new title scheduled for release on November 26.

In separate news, the television adaptation of the manga Reborn as a Space Mercenary is set to premiere on October 4. Directed by Norihiko Nagahama and animated by Studio A-Cat, the series will feature the song ‘Unstoppable’ by the band FLOW for its opening theme and ‘My Way’ by ASTERISM for the ending theme.
