The look features a monochromatic flush consisting of layers of rosy blush across the apples of the cheeks and the nose, often accompanied by pink diagonal lines intended to mimic anime illustrations of embarrassment or excitement.

Beauty experts suggest that blush has transitioned from a seasonal trend to an essential makeup component used to add dimension and personality to the face. Beyond the anime aesthetic, upcoming winter trends include ‘blush draping’—where color is swept upward toward the temples to sculpt the face—and the use of deep berry, wine, and plum tones to create a naturally flushed appearance.
