Anime merchandise updates: Gintama lottery and Cardcaptor Sakura figure reveal

Several major anime-related merchandise releases and exhibitions have been announced in Japan. Bandai Spirits is launching the ‘Ichiban Kuji Gintama 20th Anniversary Exhibition’ lottery series starting August 21. The collection features MASTERLISE EXPIECE figures of characters including Gintoki Sakata, Kotaro Katsura, Sogo Okita, Kagura, and Kamui, based on special visual art by Hideaki Sorachi. A special monochrome edition of Gintoki Sakata is designated as the ‘Last One Prize’.

Additionally, Good Smile Company is collaborating with the artist group CLAMP to celebrate CLAMP’s 35th anniversary, the 30th anniversary of ‘Cardcaptor Sakura’, and Good Smile Company’s 25th anniversary. A new scale figure of Sakura Kinomoto, titled ‘Sakura Kinomoto My First Sparkle’, has been revealed. The painted prototype is being showcased at Good Smile Fest 2026 Osaka, held on August 22 and 23, 2026.
