Anime pop-up stores to launch in Kaohsiung and Taichung
Multiple anime-themed pop-up stores are launching in Taiwan this September.
In Kaohsiung, a 'Bocchi the Rock!' pop-up store will open at the Dream Mall on September 17. The event features immersive photo spots, including a recreation of the iconic cardboard box from the series, and offers various merchandise such as apparel, mugs, and gaming mousepads. Fans can also participate in character stamp collections and receive limited-edition postcards or character cards based on purchase amounts.
Simultaneously, the 'Super Anime Research Club' pop-up store, organized by Kotobukiya, will run from September 17 to October 20 at LaLaport in Taichung. This event showcases various popular series, including 'Frieren: Beyond Journey's End', 'Hunter x Hunter', 'Demon Slayer', and 'That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime'. The venue includes character photo zones, themed lucky bags, and various gashapon and capsule machines. Special promotional items, such as collectible cards and badges, are available for customers meeting specific spending thresholds.
