Animedon festival returns to San Sebastián

The third edition of Animedon, the anime meeting within the San Sebastián Fantasy and Horror Film Festival, will take place from October 26 to November 6. The program features three premieres, including the film ‘Grotesqqque’, which will be screened at the Victoria Eugenia Theatre six days before its commercial release in Japan.

A special tribute to ‘Shin chan’ will be held on October 31 at the Victoria Eugenia Theatre to mark 25 years since the first Basque-language broadcast of the series. The event will also include a live Basque-language podcast by Flop Kultura and an exhibition focused on yōkai.

Other scheduled screenings include ‘Puella Magi Madoka Magica: La noche de Walpurgis’ and ‘Peleliu – Guernica of paradise’. Tickets and guest information will be available through Donostia Kulturaren and the Victoria Eugenia and Principal theatres.
