Animo animation toolkit updated for Maya and Blender
Ehsan Bayat has released updates to Animo, a free animation toolkit designed to streamline workflows in Autodesk Maya and Blender.
Animo 10 for Maya features a centralized Tools Editor containing over 500 utilities, including animation sliders, pose mirroring, and arc tracking. The update also introduces the ability to bring reference media, such as videos, GIFs, and image sequences, directly into the Maya interface. The toolkit is currently in beta and is available for both commercial and non-commercial use under a ‘pay what you want’ model.
Additionally, a specialized version of the tool has been released for Blender, compatible with versions 4.0 through 5.2. While not a full port of the Maya package, the Blender version includes 16 essential animation sliders, such as Tween, Blend to Ease, and Simplify/Bake. Users can access the sliders panel by pressing the ‘K’ key.
