Anirudh Ravichander faces AI criticism following Jailer 2 album release

The makers of the upcoming action film Jailer 2 have released a 12-track jukebox ahead of its October 15 theatrical release. Directed by Nelson and starring Rajinikanth, the sequel follows the success of the 2023 film and features a large supporting cast including Vidya Balan and Vijay Sethupathi.

Following the release, composer Anirudh Ravichander has faced significant social media criticism regarding the quality of the album. Some listeners have expressed disappointment, claiming the compositions do not meet previous expectations.

Controversy has also emerged regarding the use of artificial intelligence in the music. Users on social media pointed to YouTube Music indicators for the song ‘Bindass’ suggesting AI involvement. This has sparked a debate among fans, with critics arguing that AI use is detrimental to Kollywood music, while defenders suggest AI is simply a modern creative tool.
