Anirudh Ravichander reveals initial doubts over hit song ‘Aaluma Doluma’

Music composer Anirudh Ravichander revealed in a recent interview with Billboard India that he initially had significant doubts regarding the song ‘Aaluma Doluma’ from the 2015 film Vedalam.

Anirudh stated that he was unconvinced by the track's quality and even contacted director Siva the night before the scheduled shoot to suggest postponing it. He expressed concern that the song would not resonate with Ajith Kumar's fanbase. Despite these reservations, the director proceeded with filming, and the production team, including the actor and producer, expressed enthusiasm for the track.

Contrary to the composer's initial skepticism, ‘Aaluma Doluma’ became a major success and a popular high-energy Kuththu track. It has amassed over 148 million views on YouTube, making it the most-viewed song in Ajith Kumar's filmography.
