Kalundborg school explosion leads to charges against five teenagers
Five teenagers, including two 14-year-olds and three 15-year-olds, have been charged under the Weapons Act following a chemical explosion at Rynkevangskolen in Kalundborg. The incident occurred on a football field when a bottle containing chemicals detonated, prompting a massive police response and the evacuation of students and staff.
While no injuries were reported, police discovered a second, unexploded bottle at the scene, which was subsequently neutralized by EOD ammunition experts from the Defense. Authorities are investigating the motive and the individual roles of the boys, noting that the incident could have had severe consequences. Police Inspector Thomas Tarpgaard emphasized the seriousness of the event and urged parents to monitor their children's online activities and social influences.
