Anita Tornóczky attends Sziget Festival while seven months pregnant
Hungarian animal‑rights activist and dog trainer Anita Tornóczky, a regular at Budapest’s Sziget Festival for more than three decades, said she will not miss the 2024 edition despite being seven months pregnant with her second child. She attended the event together with her one‑and‑a‑half‑year‑old son, riding in a stroller and taking breaks as needed.
The decision drew a wave of online commentary, with some users calling it “not normal” and others posting harsher remarks. Tornóczky dismissed the criticism, explaining that she feels well, monitors her body’s signals, and prioritises hygiene and rest while at the festival. She emphasized that pregnancy and motherhood do not prevent her from enjoying the music and atmosphere she has loved since the festival’s early years.
