Anita Włodarczyk sets masters world record with 75.01 m hammer throw in Madrid

Polish hammer‑throw champion Anita Włodarczyk threw 75.01 m at the World Athletic Continental Tour Silver meeting in Madrid, securing second place behind Italy’s Sara Fantini (75.62 m). The mark is her best result in four years and establishes a new masters world record for athletes over 40, surpassing the previous 75 m barrier.

The performance positions Włodarczyk among the season’s top European throwers and raises expectations for a possible medal at the upcoming European Championships in Birmingham. Other Polish competitors also featured in Madrid, including Jakub Szymański (fifth in the 110 m hurdles), Weronika Lizakowska (fifth in the 1500 m), and Filip Ostrowski (third in the 1500 m).
