Anitta releases EQUILIBRIVM II album and adds extra São Paulo show

Brazilian pop star Anitta launched the second half of her EQUILIBRIVM project, the studio album EQUILIBRIVM II, on 23 July 2026. The 17‑track record blends samba, funk, bossa nova, reggae and forró and features a roster of Brazilian legends and emerging artists, including Maria Bethânia, Alceu Valença, Mart’nália, MC Tha, Brô MC’s, Katú Mirim and many others. The release is accompanied by a 30‑minute audiovisual short that premiered on Multishow’s “TVZ Esquenta – Especial Equilibrium II” and is now available on Globoplay and YouTube. In interviews Anitta described the work as a spiritual and cultural reflection of Brazil’s ancestry and expressed pride in the collaborative nature of the project.

Following the album launch, Anitta announced an additional concert date in São Paulo’s Parque Villa‑Lobos on 9 August, after tickets for the original 8 August show sold out quickly. The extra performance underscores strong domestic demand for the tour, which will showcase the new material across major Brazilian cities. The album has drawn praise from peers such as Maria Bethânia, Tatá Werneck and other cultural figures, while the artist also warned about the mental‑health pressures of an international push, opting to focus on the Brazilian market for now.
