Paolla Oliveira named Imperatriz Leopoldinense drum queen for 2027 Carnival

Actress Paolla Oliveira has been announced as the new 'rainha de bateria' (drum queen) for the Imperatriz Leopoldinense samba school for the 2027 Carnival. Her official coronation is scheduled for October 17.

This marks Oliveira's return to the Sapucaí parade after a hiatus. She previously served as the drum queen for Acadêmicos do Grande Rio for seven years, leaving that position in 2025 to focus on her acting career and family health matters. She will succeed singer Iza, who remains connected to the school as its queen.

In her announcement, Oliveira stated that returning to the role was not initially part of her plans, but observing the festivities from a distance renewed her passion for the event. She expressed her commitment to engaging with the Ramos community and building a respectful relationship with the school.
