Anja Ljubojević denied insurance payout for crash of official Audi
On 6 June 2026, Anja Ljubojević, then vice‑president of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, crashed a kasko‑insured official Audi shortly after returning from a party. Blood‑alcohol analysis showed a level above the legal limit, triggering the policy clause that voids coverage when the driver is intoxicated.
The insurer therefore rejected the claim, stating that “the insured loses rights under the policy if the blood‑alcohol level exceeds the permissible amount”. The vehicle is currently being evaluated by an authorized expert to determine its pre‑accident value. Any compensation will be the responsibility of Ljubojević and will be paid from the Republika Srpska Treasury.
A criminal procedure for reckless driving was opened on 26 June 2026 by the Basic Court in Banja Luka. The court has not disclosed the results of the blood and urine tests, noting that such information will be released only after evidence is presented in court.
