Anjo City fig harvest reaches peak season

Fig harvesting has reached its peak season in Anjo City, Aichi Prefecture. Aichi is the second-largest producer of figs in Japan by shipment volume.

Farmers in Anjo are currently harvesting open-field figs, with an estimated 300 tons expected to be shipped to the Tokai and Kanto regions. The harvest season is expected to continue until early November.
