Turkey utility services face widespread planned outages

Multiple regions across Turkey are facing scheduled utility disruptions due to infrastructure maintenance, network upgrades, and repairs.

In Van, planned electricity outages are scheduled for August 30 to facilitate grid strengthening and transformer renewals in districts including Erciş, İpekyolu, and Gevaş. Similarly, Konya will experience a three-day electricity maintenance program starting August 30, affecting central districts like Selçuklu, Karatay, and Meram, as well as surrounding areas like Ereğli and Akşehir.

Denizli and Uşak have also announced planned power outages for late August to support network maintenance and repairs. In Ankara, 15 districts, including Çankaya and Keçiören, will face electricity interruptions for grid improvement works.

In İzmir, both electricity and water services are affected. GDZ Elektrik has scheduled power outages in several districts such as Aliağa and Bornova. Additionally, the İzmir Water and Sewerage Administration (İZSU) has announced water supply disruptions in districts including Konak, Karşıyaka, and Kemalpaşa due to main pipe failures and valve replacement works.
