Ankara ATA Farm supplies alfalfa hay to Atatürk Children Natural Life Park

The Ankara Metropolitan Municipality’s ATA Farm in Gölbaşı, Turkey’s largest agricultural campus, harvested about 600 bales (roughly 20 tons) of alfalfa hay from a 40‑decare area. The hay was delivered to the Atatürk Children Natural Life Park, where it is used to feed protected animals. The park’s annual requirement is 100 tons of alfalfa; this is the first year the park sourced hay directly from ATA Farm, covering about one‑fifth of its need. Municipal officials highlighted the initiative as a model of integrating local agricultural production with municipal services. Veterinary Department head Mustafa Şener noted the park’s need and the farm’s contribution, while plant‑production officer Volkan Dinçer described the farm’s capacity and plans to expand the cultivated area and increase harvest frequency.
