Ankara breeder cares for rare four-horned ram
In the Altındağ district of Ankara, livestock breeder Orhan Figan is caring for a rare four-horned ram named Yaşar. Figan, who has been involved in animal husbandry for 20 years, purchased the ram from a relative during a Kurban Bayramı festival.
Veterinary examinations have confirmed that the ram's four horns are a rare biological occurrence and do not indicate any underlying health issues or diseases. The 6.5-year-old ram, characterized by its black head and unique horn structure, currently leads Figan's flock of over 600 small ruminants.
Figan expressed a deep personal connection to the animal, noting that owning such a ram had been a childhood dream. Despite receiving numerous offers to purchase the ram last year, Figan has refused to sell Yaşar, stating his intention to keep the animal for the remainder of its life.
