Ankara Castle Hosts Major Cultural Festival
Ankara's historic castle opened its doors for a multi‑day cultural festival organized by the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, the Ankara City Council and the Castle Assembly. The opening featured concerts, performances, workshops and talks, drawing large crowds to the restored fortress.
Mayor Mansur Yavaş highlighted the seven‑year restoration of the castle and the adjacent Ulus district, emphasizing the importance of preserving the city’s heritage for future generations. He noted that the festival aims to showcase Ankara’s rich history while providing contemporary cultural experiences.
The festival programme includes music stages, art exhibitions, educational workshops and a new service centre for the Ankara Promotion Association, underscoring the municipality’s commitment to cultural enrichment and tourism in the capital.
