Ankara groom receives exotic animals as wedding gifts instead of gold
In Ankara, a groom named Buğra Yalçın received a unique set of wedding gifts from his friends: various exotic animals instead of traditional gold. Yalçın, who has been interested in nature and wildlife since childhood, described the animals as being more valuable to him than gold.
He noted that his hobby of keeping exotic animals requires significant effort and detailed care, including specific cleaning and sunbathing routines. Yalçın emphasized that he maintains this hobby within legal frameworks, stating that the animals gifted at his wedding are officially documented by the Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks. His collection includes species such as uromastyx, Peter's banded skink, Sudan armored lizards, Senegal chameleons, fire skinks, African fat-tailed geckos, and iguanas.
