Ankara Mayor visits Bucharest to revitalize sister-city cooperation

Ankara Mayor Mansur Yavaş is conducting a two-day official visit to Bucharest at the invitation of General Mayor Ciprian Ciucu. The visit aims to revitalize the relationship between the two sister cities, which have been linked since 1998, by transforming the connection into an active partnership based on concrete projects and experience sharing.

The discussions focus on five primary areas of cooperation: urban mobility and management (including public transport and traffic systems), social services and digital administration, economic cooperation through business and chamber of commerce relations, culture, education, and tourism, and the overall consolidation of the long-term partnership. Local authorities expect these renewed ties to help attract investment and promote Bucharest internationally.
