Ankara Metropolitan Municipality and UNICEF launch Child Needs Map project
The Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB) and UNICEF are collaborating on the ‘Child Needs Map’ project to better identify and address the requirements of children in the region. Supported by the European Union through the Accountability and Rights Advocacy for Children (ACAR) Project, the initiative focuses on collecting and analyzing data to improve the planning of municipal services.
As part of the project, training sessions titled ‘Data-Based Decision Making and Capacity Building in the Field of Children’ were held for municipal employees and representatives from non-governmental organizations. These sessions covered data-based needs analysis, child-related indicators, prioritization processes, and the use of spatial data to identify needs.
A consultative meeting was also conducted with members of the private sector and NGOs to evaluate the project's findings. The discussions focused on developing collaborative solutions and exploring ways to enhance services for children through partnerships with various stakeholders.
