Ankara Metropolitan Municipality to distribute free silage corn
The Ankara Metropolitan Municipality has completed the final harvest of the 2026 production season at Ata Çiftliği, Turkey’s largest agricultural campus. The harvest consists of silage corn that was planted in April.
To support rural development and reduce input costs for local livestock producers, the municipality will distribute the silage corn free of charge to small family businesses throughout Ankara. The production process, including planting, harvesting with modern machinery, packaging, and storage, is managed entirely using the municipality's own resources.
Following the harvest, the corn is moved to a packaging area and then stored to undergo a necessary maturation process before distribution.
