Ankara police welcome 67 new motorcycle officers to Yunus teams

The Ankara Provincial Police Department held a graduation ceremony for 67 new members of the motorcycle police teams, known as 'Yunus' units. The new cohort consists of 62 men and 5 women who successfully completed five weeks of fundamental training.

During the ceremony, Ankara Governor Yakup Canbolat emphasized the importance of these units in maintaining security within densely populated cities due to their mobility and ability to respond quickly to incidents. He instructed the officers to remain decisive and fast while strictly adhering to the law and maintaining a measured, understanding attitude toward citizens. Ankara Provincial Police Chief Maksut Yüksek also highlighted the dynamic role these teams play in field operations.
