Turkey appoints new chief prosecutors in Ankara and Mersin

The Judges and Prosecutors Council (HSK) issued a decree appointing Aykut Çelik as the new Ankara Chief Prosecutor. Çelik took office after a welcome ceremony at the Ankara Courthouse, where he was greeted with flowers and congratulations from fellow prosecutors and court officials.

In a separate appointment, Yasin Emre, previously serving as Düzce Chief Prosecutor, was transferred to the Mersin Chief Prosecutor’s office. Governors of Karabük and Bolu visited him to offer congratulations, and the rector of Düzce University issued a supportive message praising the appointment.
