Ankara summit proposes Turkey‑Russia‑China‑Iran alliance
Two events in Ankara focused on reshaping global security. A seminar at the Russian Embassy marked the 25th anniversary of the Russia‑China Good‑Neighbourhood Treaty and was attended by ambassadors from Russia, China, Belarus and Egypt, as well as Turkish political figures. Vatan Party leader Doğu Perinçek used the platform to call for a Turkey‑Russia‑China‑Iran alliance that would add a strategic security and development front to existing economic ties.
A separate international conference organized by the Dünya‑MER research centre gathered delegates from 19 countries over two days. The final draft declaration, consisting of ten points, criticised NATO and U.S. policies, praised a shift toward a multipolar world, and highlighted the proposed Turkey‑Russia‑China‑Iran alliance as a bulwark against global conflict. Participants from Azerbaijan, Japan, Italy and other nations contributed to the discussion, which emphasized regional cooperation and the weakening of Western monetary dominance.
