Ankara Water Agency Restores Supply After Pump Station Fire

A fire at the P11 pump station in Ankara caused damage to a transformer, leading to a water outage in the high‑elevation neighborhoods of Mamak and Altındağ. The Ankara Water and Sewerage Administration (ASKİ) dispatched a 60‑person technical team that worked through the night to replace the transformer and damaged cables. Within roughly 11–12 hours the pump station was back in service and water flow resumed, though delivery to the highest areas may take additional time.

ASKİ sent SMS alerts to residents informing them that water service had been reinstated and thanked the public for their patience during the emergency repairs.
