Anker and Anthbot unveil robotic mowers with edge-trimming arms

New robotic lawn mowers from Anker eufy and Anthbot are introducing specialized mechanical arms to solve the common issue of uncut grass along edges and corners.

Anker's eufy S2 Max, showcased at IFA 2026, is designed for large properties of up to 15,000 square meters. It features a “True Edge-to-Edge Trimming” system, utilizing an extendable trimmer arm to reach boundaries that standard central cutting decks cannot. The device uses TrueVision technology with 48 TOPS of computing power for 3D mapping and 360-degree obstacle detection.

Similarly, the Anthbot R730 features an “EdgeEase” system, which uses a robotic arm with a string trimmer to navigate walls and fences. This model is built for challenging terrain, utilizing an all-wheel-drive system with six motors to manage inclines of up to 40 degrees. The R730 is intended for areas up to 3,000 square meters and is expected to be released for the 2027 gardening season.
