Anker and EarFun release new audio hardware featuring AI and smart displays

Anker has released the Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro Max, a flagship wireless earbud model priced at 36,990 yen. The device features a unique charging case equipped with a 1.78-inch AMOLED display, allowing users to check battery levels and adjust noise cancellation settings without a smartphone. It utilizes a proprietary AI chip named ‘Thus’ to enhance active noise cancellation (ANC) and call quality. Additionally, the charging case includes built-in AI capabilities for recording, transcribing, and summarizing audio.

Separately, the EarFun Wave Pro wireless headphones (2025 edition) are currently featured in an Amazon time sale in Japan. The headphones support LDAC for high-resolution audio and feature 40mm drivers with Diamond-Like Carbon coating. They offer hybrid ANC with up to -45dB reduction and provide up to 80 hours of battery life when ANC is turned off.
