Anker launches 45W Smart+ GaN charger with color display

Anker has launched the 45W Smart+ GaN charger in China, priced at 149 yuan. The device features a small color screen that displays real-time charging information, including output power, device battery levels, and charging progress. To accommodate different wall socket orientations, the screen interface can be rotated by holding a physical button for two seconds.

The charger includes a foldable plug with 90-degree and 180-degree fixed angles for easier use in tight spaces. It utilizes Apple AVS dynamic fast charging protocols to identify iPhone 15, 16, and 17 series models, applying specific charging curves for each. Users can also connect the device to the Anker App for OTA firmware updates to maintain compatibility with future devices.

Two distinct charging modes are available: ‘Smart Fast Charge’ for speed and ‘Device Protection’ for battery longevity. Anker claims that using the protection mode for half of charging cycles could reduce battery degradation by approximately 20%. The unit is equipped with the ActiveShield 5.0 temperature control system and has received TÜV Rheinland low-temperature certification. While optimized for iPhones, the 45W USB-C output is compatible with iPads, MacBook Air, Android devices, Nintendo Switch, and Steam Deck.
