IFA 2026: Major manufacturers unveil new portable power and energy storage solutions
At IFA 2026 in Berlin, several major manufacturers unveiled new portable power and energy storage solutions.
Jackery introduced its new Explorer Plus series, featuring scalable models including the Explorer 1000 Plus v2, 2000 Plus v2, and 3600 Plus. These units allow users to expand capacity using additional battery packs, reaching up to 21.5 kWh. The series emphasizes compact design and safety, utilizing LFP cells and a Cell-to-Body architecture to reduce size and weight.
Anker SOLIX debuted the S2000, a 2 kWh portable power station designed for home backup and outdoor use. It features an OptiSave™ system to reduce standby power consumption to just 10 W, enabling up to 24 hours of emergency power for essential appliances. Anker also showcased the Solix Solarbank 4 Pro, a modular 5 kWh home storage system that can be expanded to 30 kWh.
SmallRig presented its Nano Power Bank series, specifically designed for content creators. These power banks include integrated 1/4-inch threads and V-Mount plates, allowing them to be mounted directly onto camera rigs and tripods. Additionally, Ugreen launched the MagFlow Pro Magnet, a 10,000 mAh Qi2-compatible power bank featuring a unique liquid-cooling system called “CryoPulse” to manage heat during wireless charging.
