Ankita Lokhande reflects on career journey and Devdas

Indian actress Ankita Lokhande recently shared a video on social media recreating the song ‘Bairi Piya’ from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film Devdas. Performing in a traditional red saree, the actress reflected on her career aspirations during her teenage years.

Lokhande noted that she was in the 11th standard when Devdas was released in 2002, describing the film as a significant part of her dreams to move to Mumbai and become an actress. She expressed gratitude for her journey from television to film.

Her career began with Zee Cinestars Ki Khoj, followed by a prominent role as Archana Deshmukh in the television series Pavitra Rishta. She later transitioned to Bollywood with her debut in Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi in 2019, and has since appeared in films such as Baaghi 3 and Swatantrya Veer Savarkar.
