Şanlıurfa launches 2,600‑dunam Gölpınar Tabiat Park development

The Şanlıurfa Metropolitan Municipality and Karaköprü Municipality signed a cooperation protocol to create the 2,600‑dunam Gölpınar Tabiat Park. The project will transform the forest‑managed land into a modern recreational area with walking and cycling paths, picnic sites, observation terraces, a tent‑camp area, and seasonal food stalls.

Mayor Mehmet Kasım Gülpınar said the park will be “one of the signature investments of the term” and will meet a major need for both residents and visitors. Karaköprü Mayor Nihat Çiftçi added that the goal is to bring the park into service for citizens as soon as possible.
