Bursa Metropolitan Municipality announces major infrastructure investments

Bursa Metropolitan Municipality is implementing significant infrastructure and service upgrades across the region. The Bursa Water and Sewerage Administration (BUSKİ) has launched a 156.32 million TL investment to expand its vehicle fleet. This new fleet includes 26 vehicles and heavy machinery, such as 10 dump trucks, 9 chassis trucks, 6 backhoe loaders, and 1 excavator, aimed at improving response times for repairs, water loss management, and disaster response like floods and fires.

In the Karacabey district, the municipality is overseeing major projects, including a 218.5 million TL investment in sewage and rainwater infrastructure. This includes constructing new lines to connect residential areas to the Bayramdere Wastewater Treatment Plant to prevent waste from entering the Nilüfer Stream. Additionally, construction is underway for a new bridge in the Harmanlı neighborhood to ensure transportation safety, and road expansion projects have been completed on the Forest Interior Ring Road.

Local officials, including Deputy Mayor Şahin Biba, have held consultative meetings with neighborhood mukhtars to address local needs, emphasizing rural development and long-term infrastructure solutions to strengthen the city’s capacity.
