ANMaC implements new firearm and accessory regulations

The National Agency of Materials Control (ANMaC) has implemented new administrative procedures through Resolution 48/2026 to regulate the possession and registration of firearms and controlled accessories.

The new regulations simplify the process for registering inherited firearms by allowing heirs to initiate registration without a prior judicial declaration, provided they can document their relationship to the deceased.

Conversely, the resolution introduces stricter controls and mandatory documentation for night vision scopes, suppressors, and carry permits for war-grade weapons. These measures aim to standardize administrative processes for legitimate users and ensure the traceability of controlled materials.
